Finals are over...and life is back to normal!

We just finished our third semester at here at school! Yay! It was a good semester with some really fun and interesting classes. We were feeling pretty worn out though because we have been going to school for a year and a half straight with no real breaks. It was really hard to stay focused, but we did pull it off with 4.0's again so it worked out well! We are also entertaining the thought of transferring starting the winter semester since we will be there for graduate school anyways. We also just got back from our cruise to Mexico and it was a blast!!! When I get more time, I will post pictures and give more details. It was SUCH a nice break. We are hooked on cruises and thinking about taking a Hawaiian cruise after we graduate. We are also now in southern California where we will be the rest of the summer. We LOVE it here. It is so pretty and the weather has been awesome. We wouldn't mind ending up here...it is SO nice! This summer will be a lot of fun. A lot of work, but the place makes it worth it! Well, life is great! :)

New years eve

We spent new years eve with our close friends the Oaks and had a lot of fun. We watched some good movies and ate KFC for dinner (I love KFC so I was excited)! Ok now our blogs will be in chronological order. :)

Christmas of 2007

I know that our posts are not in chronological order, we decided to go back further than valentines to include the end of 2007 and the beginning of 2008. :) Our Christmas with Richard's wonderful family was a blast! We had a lot of fun playing with all of the little kids and the fun conversations with the adults (which included a lot of political talk). We also went snowboarding (which was my first time) and had a lot of fun on the bunny hill with the little kids. It was a really fun Christmas!

Family visit!

My family came to visit on their way down to Provo for general conference and we had a blast!!! We had sleep overs, pillow fights, intense movie nights, played games, my parents came with us to the temple, went to concerts on campus, the older kids came to classes with us etc. I wish that we could have them live here with us in Idaho. :)

Valentines day!!

I know it was a while ago, but that ok! :) Valentines this year was really fun!! We had a lot of homework that week and a day off on the next monday so we were planning to just have a special dinner that night and do other fun activities on our day off. I wanted to do something for Richard on valentines day so I asked him if he had anything planned and he said that he was waiting for Monday to do anything because he was so busy. I was a little bit sad. However, while I was at work, my boss came into my office and she said she needed some help. I assumed it was regarding something we had been working together and started to head toward her office. She told me that she needed me in the back room, and I started to get really confused. As I walked into the backroom I saw Richard standing there with a bouquet of GORGEOUS roses (which he totally planned and put together so that every color and the number of the roses had a special meaning...he's so romantic!), a valentines balloon, a bottle of Martinellis and his guitar! He proceeded to play a song he had written me on his guitar and it melted my heart!! Apparently he had been planning that all week but told me he was too busy to really throw me off which worked very well. :) We then came home and made a WONDERFUL steak and shrimp fondu with our own delicious special cheese recipe we made up and had chocolate fondu for dessert with strawberries and pineapple (our favorite fruit to use with chocolate fondu). We do fondu every year for valentines to celebrate our first date which was fondu dinner and dessert in the forest. Then we watched a chick flick (yes, my husband is absolutely amazing!!!) and of course, slacked on our homework(dont worry, we still got A's). It was such a blast!! :)

Ballroom competition and Birthday!

Last week we had a competition for our ballroom class which was a lot of fun! We hadn't practiced our waltz routine for about a week and a half because I had not been feeling well and so we went into the competition with only one practice right before. We weren't expecting to make it through the first wave, and were just doing it to have fun. We were surprised when we made it through the first and second wave and got 6th place!! We were NOT expecting that we would get 6th place out of 24 couples. We love our ballroom class. It is such a blast! Also my birthday was last week and Richard took me shopping and I got some way cute summer clothes which was a lot of fun. I love to shop, so it was a nice present! We also went dancing and watched a movie after we went shopping. It was a nice break of school and all the stress! I have the best husband!! :)

Wrestling season

So Richard did wrestling this semester and he had a great time! It was really fun to watch him out there on the mat. He did really well for not having wrestled for 10 years (literally. He is 25 and the last time he wrestled was when he was 15!)--he got 3rd place in the tournament!! Not only that but more than half of the guys wrestling had gone to state (some multiple times) and had barely graduated from high school! He did really well! The video is of Richard (he is wearing the blue singlet) wrestling against a guy named Shannon (who mentioned he was the two time state champion in Idaho for his weight class)! Richard ended the season with a 3 win and 3 loss record. We are excited for next season!
