FREEDOM but most of all...FUN!

Richards first semester of pre-dental classes ended (very successfully I might add) the other day and we are having SO much fun enjoying the summer! He got A's in all of his classes and another 4.0 semester on his transcript! NICE....I am so proud of him! The nice thing is that he wasn't burned out at all at the end of the semester. He is REALLY good at these classes and it comes really easy to him plus he likes them a lot so school isn't that bad for us! Thats a HUGE blessing. In fact he got some of the highest grades in his class (the average in his classes were C's) and when he would go to the tutoring center he would TEACH the tutors almost the entire time. They told him that he knew the stuff better than anyone they had tutored before and should be tutoring instead of being tutored. He would also lead studying sessions where he would teach about 20 people from his classes and people from other classes would talk about him and how smart he was. Pretty cool I must say! ;) I am so thankful for the help Heavenly Father has given to him throughout the semester.
The day he took his last final we partied HARD. We went to a river where the water is warm with a rope swing and a bridge to jump off! I went off the rope swing, but wasn't brave enough for the bridge jumping. But it was a lot of fun. After the river we did night games for hours with our friends. It was so fun to feel like a kid again!

This is a video of Richard jumping with our friend McKay...he is the one with the black shirt

This is me using the rope swing. There was a whole group of people who jumped off the bridge before I went and it was really loud and startled Liam. That is why he starts wimpering at the end! Poor guy!

For the 24th of July weekend we went to my in-laws where they have a huge pioneer day celebration. Liam had fun meeting new relatvies, watching his first parade and part of his first play (he sat through the first half of Bye-Bye Birdie and then got bored). It was fun to be with family and enjoy the celebrations!

Richard found this hat at DI and wanted him to wear it! Poor little hick! :)
They had a big lunch in the town that was yummy!

Of course we have been going to the lake almost everyday or doing other fun things with our friends. We are such party animals. Everyday or night (or sometimes both) we are playing with our friends whether we are outside swimming, playing games, dancing (haha), watching movies or running around. On Friday we went on out first family hike with some of our friends! It was quite the work-out and was a 3 hour long hike and Liam loved being wrapped in the moby wrap watching all the beautiful things. He will probably turn into a little explorer after that!

We have had so much fun with Richard now that the semester is over! We have fun anyways because he gets to spend a lot of time with us (considering he is in school) but it's nice not to have to worry about staying up too late with his classes/homework. He is home all day every day and when Liam isn't napping, we are out playing and enjoying the weather! It's so nice to have him home so much! Life as a student can be hard at times (mostly around finals) but really the life is SO nice!! When the semester is over he is home all day and even during the semester he is home a lot! I can do this for several more years easy! I will have a total shock when he has to work 8 hours a day and can't be home with us as much as he is now!
